After another highly successful Come and Try Day at Pheasant Wood Circuit, it seems we have converted a few new lunatics to the sport!
Check out some highlights from the day!
A message from our president;
Yesterday ALMCC hosted our annual come and try day, an opportunity to give anyone willing and able the chance to jump on a sidecar and experience being a passenger.
It was a very successful day, with a number of newcomers coming along and trying a range of outfits and gaining confidence with every lap.
I would like to sincerely thank every member of our club and our supporters for making the day possible. There are too many people to thank individually, but from sign on, barbecue and merch operations, to riders, crews, those supporting our guests as they went out on track, and everyone who supported throughout the day, you all made the day possible. Without members willing to offer their time on days like this, and in the preparation of them, they would not be possible.
Yesterday I also got to see a side to ALMCC that we have missed a bit in recent years, the friendships and comradery. Members old and new, as well as visitors from near and far, were chatting and helping each other out all day. As happens there were some issues with bikes, but anyone who was able to got in and helped resolve them. Everyone mixing and mingling is something I was so happy to watch throughout the day.
We hope to be able to see more of this again as we look at different ways to come together and enjoy being a part of the sport we love.
Once again, thank you to everyone who was a part of the day and we look forward to doing it all again soon.
Kevin Hartup,
ALMCC President.
