With 180 entries set to take to the track at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend, February 12 and 13, now we need to get bums on seats to watch them.
Spectator entry is by gold coin donation with racing starting at 8.30am both days with the cafeteria operating across the weekend.
Ken Lindsey, PCRA president, has said a series of heat races and feature races for all Periods 3, 4, 5 & 6 plus Pre Modern, Commuterlites, Superlites, Motolites and Sidecars of all capacities up to 1300cc should provide entertainment for all tastes.
Notably for ALMCC members, the event will also feature two special tribute events to the late Doug Chivas. The two races will be a sidecar feature race with a rolling start on Saturday afternoon, and a four lap handicap sidecar race on Sunday afternoon. At lunch on Sunday there will be a parade lap in Chivo’s honour, led by sidecars with solos also welcome to join. Non-competitors are invited to take part as long as they have a competitors licence and report to scrutineering at 11am for a bike check.
